Habitat’s donation pickup service comes directly to you!
Donations from everyday locals are the lifeblood of the Habitat ReStore.
We understand that not everyone can load large items like sectionals, dressers, cabinets, or even home decor into their vehicle and transport them to the ReStore.
Our goal is to partner with as many individuals as possible who share our vision.
For those who are unable to transport their donations to the ReStore off Highway 16, we offer a completely free service that picks up items right from your front door!
What is the Donation Pickup Service?
The Donation Pickup Service is a free service provided by the Habitat Restore. We send our 16-foot box truck out into the community to pick up donation items from local businesses and residential homes.
What Areas Do We Cover?
Good news! We want your donations and we’re willing to travel for them.
Here is a list of the counties that we operate in:
Wisconsin
- La Crosse County
- Trempealeau County
- Monroe County
- Vernon County
Minnesota
- Houston County
*During the winter months we primarily stay as close to La Crosse County as possible due to unpredictable road conditions and for the safety of our team.
How to Schedule a Pickup!
The fastest and most effective way to schedule a pickup is online. Here is the step-by-step procedure to get you onto our pickup schedule:
- Go to the Habitat La Crosse Home Page and click the “Schedule Pickup” link located in the top right corner
- Choose whether you are a Business or a Resident
- Select the items you want to donate from the categories provided Here is a list of the items you can donate
- Upload any images to further assist our dispatchers
- Select an available date and time on the calendar
- Enter personal details
- Then we will confirm your pickup and be on our way!
You can also call 608-785-2373 ex.106 to schedule a pickup via phone.
What You Can Expect on Pickup Day
Once your pickup is confirmed, you’ll be provided with a time window for when our wonderful drivers will arrive at your home.
We kindly ask that your donated items be placed in your garage, driveway, or storage unit. If the items are in a garage or storage unit, please ensure you are present during the pickup.
However, if you're unable to be home due to a busy schedule, simply label your donation items clearly, place them in the driveway, and cover them if the weather is expected to be bad.
Our drivers will carefully load your items, allowing you to relax while we handle the rest.
Finally, we truly appreciate your contribution, and our drivers will be sure to express their gratitude for your support of our mission!
