Back-to-school time is fast approaching.  If you or your kids are heading off to college, the La Crosse Habitat ReStore offers many items for your dorm room or apartment to make it your personal space and feel like home.  Our prices are typically 50% off retail and you can receive an additional 10% off with your student ID.

If you’ve never shopped at the ReStore before, trust that you'll find all kinds of deals on things for your living space, whether an apartment, house, or dorm room. Individuals and businesses donate items such as furniture, building materials, and more. The ReStore then sells those items to the public at a discount, and the money raised supports the La Crosse area Habitat for Humanity.

We recommend making a list of essentials when you start shopping for your new space.  Share your list with your roommate(s) so you don’t duplicate items.

Storage is a must! You're going to need things that can be tucked away and serve more than one purpose. Look for pieces with wheels that can be easily moved out of the way.  Stackable items are also a good way to utilize vertical space. Consider low-cost shelving that can be stacked and screwed together, or cubbies.

Finding a small desk will be important, but you can always build something that fits your space, too. Use an old door for a work surface and some filing cabinets for legs with added storage.

We have a great selection of sofas, chairs, desks, desk chairs, kitchen tables, bed frames, and dressers to fill up your new apartment or college house.

In addition to furniture, we also have a huge variety of lamps or floor lamps.

For your kitchen we have utensils, cups, and plates.

For your dorm room we have area rugs, shoe racks, closet organizers, bulletin boards, mirrors, storage trunks, room dividers, and plastic totes.

If your new apartment or house doesn’t have a washer & dryer, we have a variety that just might work and save you a trip to the laundromat.
